Description
Using frames also makes slow animations easier. The MAX6952 or MAX6953 driver can store 6 frames of animation. Similarly, the technique 3HAC040654-001 involves changing the digital data of P0 flicker phase when displaying P1 phase, and changing the digital data of P1 flicker phase when displaying P0 phase (Table 6). Segmented flicker is not used for animation, so the flicker speed is only set for animation speed or frame rate. This can be set from 4 frames per second (OSC=8MHz) to 1 frame every 2 seconds (OSC=1MHz).
The user actions in Table 5 ensure that a new frame is displayed for the next flashing stage, looping around six available frames. Therefore, the sequence 3HAC040654-001 controls an infinitely repeated 6-step animation. If necessary, the animation can traverse frames of less than 6 frames; For example, a driver can store two 3-step animations. Please note that the time synchronization of consecutive frames is entirely set by the flashing clock of the MAX6952 or MAX6953 driver. The user’s task is simply to write 4-word numerical data to each MAX6952 or MAX6953 driver at each flashing stage to control the animation. The one-time task of uploading all frames of animation data to all user-defined fonts of MAX6952 or MAX6953 drivers is not shown in Table 5.
