Description
The recommended technique for seamlessly changing images requires enabling flicker, PM864AK01 3BSE018161R1 even though there are no necessary flicker segments in the image. Assuming frame 1 is in use, the displayed image uses RAM00 to RAM07 to represent numbers 0 to 3 (Table 4). Please note that if RAM00 data=RAM04 data, RAM01 data=RAM05 data, RAM02 data=RAM06 data, and RAM03 data=RAM07 data, the image will not flicker because the images in the flicker planes P1 and P0 are the same. Then another complete image can be loaded into frame 2, namely RAM08 to RAM0F.
Uploading can be done at the fastest or slowest speed allowed by the microprocessor, PM864AK01 3BSE018161R1 because the image has not yet been displayed. The technique for seamlessly flipping the display from frame 1 to frame 2 is to change the P0 data of the digits during the P1 flashing phase, and then change the P1 data of the digits during the P0 flashing phase. The current Blink stage can be monitored by outputting pins from Blink or reading the status of the P bit in the configuration register. Please note that the flicker timer is now set to change the response time of the image, as image updates are synchronized with flicker. If the application will use segmented flicker, then when switching between different images, balance the competitive requirements between significantly slow segmented flicker speed and a reasonable and fast response time. The flashing speed setting controls these two parameters.
